MADE-UP TORONTO

An exploration of makeup as a tool for self expression and cultural identity.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Made-Up Toronto is a photo-based exhibition exploring makeup as an artistic tool for cultural identity and self-expression. Despite the rapid growth in makeup’s popularity and usage, makeup’s artistic or cultural relevance has had limited representation by museums and art galleries to date. Using an ethnographic lens, Made-Up Toronto examines makeup and its uses in Toronto’s multicultural landscape.

The exhibit ran June 14th - 30th 2018.
